Components
- Two ripe red guavas (approximately 1 1⁄2 cups of pulp)
- Four containers of unsweetened natural yogurt, each weighing 170 grams.
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons of honey
Setup phase
- Prepare six disposable cups with a capacity of 150 ml each and six wooden ice cream sticks.
- Remove the peel, chop the guavas into large chunks, and place them in the blender cup. Add one container of yogurt and sugar, then blend until smooth.
- In a bowl, strain the guava cream through a sieve, pressing it thoroughly with the back of a spoon to remove the seeds and retain all the cream. Discard the seeds.
- In a separate bowl, combine the remaining yogurt with the honey and stir until smooth. Pour the yogurt and honey mixture into disposable cups, filling them halfway.
- Using a shell, carefully add the guava cream onto the yogurt cream, beginning at the edge of the glass to keep the layers separate. Then, with an ice cream stick, scrape the glass wall down to the bottom to blend the two flavors, moving it around the sides of the cup to create a swirled popsicle effect.
- Recreate the design on all the cups and lightly tap each one on the countertop to remove air bubbles, which helps prevent holes in the popsicle. Insert a toothpick into the center of each cup and place them in the freezer. Let them freeze for at least 4 hours to solidify.
- When ready to serve, take the popsicles out of the freezer, break the rim, and peel off the cup to release them. Alternatively, you can warm the cup with your hands, twist, and then pull out the popsicle.
Note: The popsicle can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.
