- Crispy chicken made in Rita Lobo's Air Fryer
Components
- 8 chicken tenderloins (approximately 400 g)
- One egg
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened natural yogurt
- 1 cup (tea) of homemade sifted flour
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil (or any other oil)
- Zest of half a lemon
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- Add ground pepper gradually to suit your taste.
Mode of preparation
- Flavor the sassami fillets with salt, cumin, lemon zest, and ground pepper according to your preference.
- In a bowl, thoroughly combine the seasoned flour with the olive oil — this helps make the chicken coating crispier and more golden. Then, spread it out in a shallow dish.
- In a typical bowl, combine the egg, yogurt, and wheat flour, add a pinch of salt, and whisk thoroughly using a wire whisk.
- To coat the chicken: dip it briefly in the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, press it into the flour mixture thoroughly to ensure the entire surface is covered. Place the coated fillet on a plate and repeat the process with the remaining pieces.
- Set the Electrolux Air Fryer by Rita Lobo to 200 °C and bake for 20 minutes, dividing the cooking into two 8-minute intervals.
- Open the air fryer drawer and arrange 4 sashimis side by side in the basket. Cook for 8 minutes or until golden—there's no need to flip them halfway through. Note: cooking time may vary by a few minutes depending on the size of the sashimis, so watch them closely!
- Using tongs, move the golden chickens to a plate and continue baking the remaining ones. Serve afterward.
